I will pay my own debt!

I have seen so many ads saying "you can reduce your debt by calling this number" or doing other things. Why should someone else pay off MY debt. I bought the things and I have used them so I will pay for them. Nothing is free. I think people actually think that if the bank writes it off then it just goes away. The money has to come from somewhere and it means someone else is paying for something they never got. If the government pays for it in the form of "stimulus bills" or similar then the taxpayer is paying for it. If the bank just "eats" the cost then the other people banking at the bank will pay for it in higher interest and fees. Someone will pay for it and I believe I should be the one to pay for the things I get!

Start Being the Solution

I have been really discouraged lately about the "change" going on in our country. It seems like everywhere I turn there is another example of things going the wrong way. I finally decided that if anything is going to change for the better individuals will have to change. Why not start with me? I decide that I am going to think about things in a different way, will this help or hurt the situation. For example the government rebates for thing like washers and dryer and such. I could use a new dishwasher and a few things. If I bought these things then I could get a government rebate. Does that help the situation? I decided that it doesn't. As long as people keep taking these, then someone else has to pay for them. I am not going to let myself accept the "well everyone else takes it so why shouldn't I or if I don't someone else will." If we all keep thinking like that then we will never get anywhere. We each need to start being the solution.
